In our Hatha yoga classes we teach classical yoga postures (asanas) in a slow-paced and steady way.
We focus on getting into each pose step-by-step, remaining in the pose while searching for the optimal alignment, and safely getting out of each pose again.
We use a few dynamic elements, such as the sun salutation, to warm up our bodies and to connect our movements with our breath. In each class we include pranayama (breathing) exercises.
In Sanskrit, the ancient Indo-European language of India, Hatha means “sun and moon”. Ha stands for the activating sun energy, and tha signifies the calming moon energy.
In our yoga classes we strive to balance both of these energies to create an optimal level of vital energy.
